Hi, I’m Sarah Hansen and I am so glad you’re here.

I became a registered nurse in 2017 and transitioned into maternal and infant health in 2018, supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum in the hospital setting. I worked as a postpartum nurse before moving to the NICU, where I cared for premature and medically fragile infants. During this time, I attended deliveries, supported mothers in postpartum recovery, and gained invaluable experience navigating the complexities of infant feeding. It was through this work that I discovered my true passion for lactation support.

In 2023, I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and shifted my focus to working directly with families in their homes and virtually, offering personalized, one-on-one lactation and nursing care through pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. My unique experience has given me a deep understanding of the challenges and transitions of early motherhood, and I am dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based guidance so that mothers feel supported, empowered, and confident—not just in feeding their babies, but in embracing motherhood with resilience and joy.

Beyond my professional experience, I’m also a mom—living the beautiful, messy, and deeply fulfilling reality of motherhood every day. I grew up in Kitsap County, and now call the Key Peninsula home. I have three amazing kids, along with a small homestead full of dogs, cats, goats, and chickens. I know firsthand how overwhelming those early days (and nights) can be, how feeding challenges can feel all-consuming, and how much a little reassurance and guidance can mean. My daughter was born with tongue and lip ties that made my first breastfeeding experience painful and isolating. It is my mission to ensure that every family thrives, not just survives, their breastfeeding journey by blending evidence-based care with a holistic, intuitive approach that honors both science and the natural wisdom of motherhood.
